CAMP USA Micro Ice Tools are about the coolest Axes we have found in their class. Superb craftsmanship blends with simplicity to create lightweight, compact and very affordable tools. If you have ever snapped a pick twenty feet above a manky screw you placed in slush, you can appreciate the absolute necessity of a third tool right close at hand. These small (45cm) technical tools come with either hammer or adze and have reduced shaft sections, making them not only compact but also great for climbers with smaller hands. Great for fast and light mixed climbs where reduced weight and volume are at a premium. Ski Mountaineers and Adventure Racers love 'em too!

Camp USA Micro Ice Axe
I bought these tools for my 10-year-old daughter to use as primary ice tools while climbing in Ouray and other S. CO waterfalls. She climbed several 100ft vertical ice falls. Wow, they are light, and stick really well for a 10 year old girl's swing! Wish they made a bent shaft tool for kids, but until then, these work great!!!

CAMP USA Micro Ice Axe Adze - Adze
Bought the axe as a gift to my son, who is a budding mountaineer. The axe is surprisingly strong, light, and compact. Fits great and is well balanced. We went immediately out hiking and found an icy trail and he was able to use it to control slides, chip steps and make holds. Will need to locate the same axe with a hammer head now to complete the set.
