The Metolius Safe Tech Men's Deluxe Harness is one of the best fitting, safest harnesses in the world. The Men's Deluxe is a beefed up version of the All-Around and is designed to lend maximum support to the lower back while simultaneously providing unparalleled freedom of movement. Hard on the outside, soft on the inside with a tough 1050d Ballistics outer layer and a polyethylene foam with brushed inner lining, it is ideal for Big Wall and long Trad routes where comfort is crucial. Metolius' sophisticated adjustment system lets you fine tune the fit by adjusting the riser length; that is the distance between the waist belt and the leg loops. This harness also boasts the world's toughest and longest wearing tie-in points. Every component, including leg risers, the gear, haul, and belay loops are engineered to withstand a load of at least 2250 lbf (10kN)łthat's FULL strength and typically the max impact force rating of a modern climbing rope. **ABOUT SAFE TECH HARNESSES: Due to an alarming number of accidents involving the misuse of harnesses and/or the failure of harness components, Metolius designed their Safe Tech Series with every possible margin of safety in mind. Metolius safe tech deluxe harness
Being new to climbing, I wanted
a good quality harness that would last for years. After looking at what safe
tech offered with its (make no mistakes no accidents) harness, I was very
impressed. It fit great! The staff at backcountry.com were very helpful and I
feel like I paid for exactly what I wanted, the best.

This harness is very comfortable to belay students all day. Luckily
found time to test the fit and ergonomics while actually climbing too! Once you
tailor fit it you''ll be amazed at how well it works. For Clydesdale types like
me it's the first harness that's a joy to be in all day.

This harness rocks!! You can fine tune the perfect fit
with the 3-D adjustable rise. I am also psyched on having every loop on the
harness full strength. If I pull some bonehead move and clip into a gear loop
the Safe-tech harness has got me covered!! You can't go wrong with Metolius!!
Plush n beefy
This thing is comfy. It's nothing that I would want to hang
from all day long, but for half to all day aid routes this beats the snot out of
other free climbing harnesses. Super wide back, nice padding all around and
adjustable leg loops. The gear loops are nice and big too for racking lots of
gear and look like they will be bomber durable. I haven't had it long enough to
test this theory but I'm confident they'll last a long, long time. If you are
like me and like to climb in comfort and enjoy the longer, mellower routes, this
harness should be considered. It's not a sport climberĘs harness - it's more
like a Cadillac then a Ferrari.
